Getting to know the Salvation Army in Georgia
Humanitarian Aid Distribution
The Salvation Army Georgia Region is privileged to receive
in-kind donations from our overseas sponsors which provide
us with medical equipment, diapers, blankets, children’s
gifts, and more that we are able to distribute to
churches, hospitals, clinics, invalids, needy individuals,
and humanitarian organizations needing assistance.
Through this program we aim to get to know the people and
find out how best we can help them with the resources that
we have at our disposal

Winter Boots Distribution- Children in Need
 |
Through private funding, the Salvation Army Georgia Region
was able to distribute handmade Georgian boots to
vulnerable children before the cold settled in this
winter. Each of our 9 Salvation Army locations (churches
and Regional Office) distributed the boots to those
children most in need. |
|
Feeding Kitchens & Dry Food Distribution - Vulnerable
Pensioners, Invalids
 |
Each month The Salvation Army
Georgia Region has been providing up to 2,600 hot meals a
month to vulnerable lonely pensioners in several regions
of Georgia as well as distributing some 400 packages of
dry food per month to those in need. Current funding
supports the provision of these feeding distributions and
meals in
Tbilisi, Rustavi, Ponichala, Didi Digomi, Samgori,
Lagodekhi and Batumi. With the average monthly state
pension at around a value of US$7 a month, this program is
vital to the welfare of many pensioners who have no other
means of support. |
